| My name is Mike, and I'm leaving a few words on Outback Outfitter's Lodge. The food is great and plenty of it. The area is beautiful and pristine, with an abundant of wild game. I came for bear and got a real trophy. Six feet and 386 pounds dressed. The first eve out I saw two bear and one was an easy 500 pounds, the other smaller at 150 pounds. The second evening I bagged the 386 one at 7:00 p.m. and saw three including the bear I shot. Bob Sauer-Jones never stops. He keeps checking new sights for deer and bear and is an excellent guide. I highly recommend him for a memorable and successful hunt. Thanks, Mike | My interestest in hunting for bear in the Adirondack Mts. in

me to search out a guide there. From my computer, I researched
guides.
One that really stoood out with his website was Outback Outfitters. Upon my arrival at the wall tent site, I was cordially greeted by Bruce (who is Bob's helper). Without even asking, Bruce offered to assist me with all my gear. After settling in, Bruce and I talked about hunting. Afterwards, Bruce cooked up a good and hearty supper. Bob stopped by and we talked about the next day's plans. After a good breakfast, Bob and I were off to the woods. Bob exhibited knowledge and confidence. From Monday - Thursday were my times to hunt (and fish the lake a little). Thursday afternoon a bear was spotted by me. I bagged a bear. Bob pulled it out of the woods and cleaned it up for me. That was the highlight of my trip. In short, this outdoorsman had a wonderful time. Eugene |
I am delighted to recommend Bob as a guide for hunting trophy black bear. The lodge was warm and comfortable and surrounded by the thick forests of the Adirondacks. Bob put me in several excellent locations and explained which approach the bear would be taking. On the second day, I was able to take a trophy black bear. Dave |
